The BW250 mud pump fails to deliver fluid and exhibits low pressure—two common issues encountered by many users. As a seasoned manufacturer of mud pumps, we’d like to address these problems. First, this issue typically arises after the pump has been in service for some time; it does not occur immediately upon initial installation. The BW‑250 mud pump has a straightforward design, consisting primarily of three major components: the crankcase, the pump head, and the power end. Like all mud pumps, it includes several wear parts, such as cylinder liners, pistons, piston seats, connecting rods, tie rods, the crankshaft, rod bearings, crossheads, and inlet/outlet valve seats. If the pump stops delivering fluid or its flow rate declines, begin by checking for leaks. If no obvious leaks are present, remove the cylinder head cover by loosening the four front bolts with a wrench, then inspect the piston and valve seats for wear. You may notice small gaps between the piston and cylinder liner; in such cases, the piston should be replaced. Use the specialized tools provided in the pump’s spare‑parts kit to perform the replacement, reinstall the components, and verify that the problem has been resolved.
BW250 mud pump No water supply; low pressure.
Two common issues frequently encountered by users of mud pumps—below, as a seasoned manufacturer of mud pumps, we’ll provide some answers to these questions:
First of all, this issue typically arises after a newly purchased mud pump has been in service for some time; it does not occur immediately upon initial installation. In fact, the BW‑250 mud pump has a very simple design, consisting primarily of three major components: the crankcase, the pump head, and the power unit.
The BW-250 mud pump itself has a number of wear parts, such as the cylinder liner, piston, piston seat, connecting rod, tension rod, crankshaft, connecting‑rod bearing, crosshead, and inlet/outlet valve seat, among others.
If the mud pump stops delivering fluid or its flow rate decreases, first check for any leaks. If none are found, open the cylinder head by loosening the four screws at the front with a wrench, and inspect the piston and valve seat for wear. You may notice small gaps between the piston and the cylinder liner; in such cases, the piston should be replaced. Use the specialized tools provided in the mud pump parts kit to remove the old piston, install the new one, and reassemble the pump. You should then find that the issue has been resolved.
